1. General information
The MFP represents the culmination of the learning process and should be a reference of the knowledge, competencies and experience in the educational center, all of which is expressed in a written document with academic rigor. This involves the elaboration of an academic work where all the competencies acquired throughout the master's program are integrated and the students exercise their capacity for reflection and synthesis under the guidance of a director.
The subject can indirectly contribute to Sustainable Development Goal 4:
Quality Education.
2. Learning results
In order to pass this subject, the following learning results must be demonstrated:
1. Prepare an original academic paper under the supervision and guidance of the teacher-tutor that contains original contributions applying the knowledge, skills, aptitudes and attitudes acquired throughout the master’s studies.
2. Work autonomously and responsibly to achieve the proposed objectives, looking for documentation, regulations and references to apply them through an original, academic and rigorous writing to the final text of the MFP.
3. Critically evaluate their own work, draw conclusions and proposals.
4. Present their work, both orally and in writing, and defend it with order, clarity, argumentative rigor and linguistic correctness.
3. Syllabus
There is no specific program.
4. Academic activities
The MFP will be carried out under the supervision and direction of a director through tutorials and monitoring via Moodle platform and email. At least three tutorials will be held, an initial, an intermediate and a final one to approve the final version. The student must submit the MFP telematic ally with the authorization of the director and send a copy to each member of the board of examiners.
The student will be able to choose between three types of MFP:
a) Academic (choose two works carried out in the master's degree and make a didactic proposal based on a process of critical reflection of both and relate it to the learning and current regulations)
b) Research (requires the selection of an existing line and prior authorization)
c) Professional (include in the MFP a professional intervention in their specialty)
The so-called B or research modality consists of preparing a research proposal based on some aspect related to the skills and contents of the master's degree, carrying out the research, obtaining the results, tabulating and analysing them and relating them with the subjects taken in the MFP. It is an original work of initiation in the research or innovation. Research can only be carried out along the lines proposed by the faculty. This modality requires prior authorization at the secretary's office within established deadlines. In both cases the MFP ends with conclusions and proposals for the future.
Modality C consists in elaborating a professional or didactic project or a detailed and argued intervention proposal that can be applied to a professional field related to PT or to the contents and competences of the master's degree. It should contain an initial summary , a background and theoretical framework of the topic including legislation and fundamental theories . Objectives of the intervention, development, timing, implementation, evaluation guidelines, methodology, sources and references, as well as well-written and well-argued conclusions in relation to the master's degree and the initial proposal.
The Academic mode A, consists of preparing a report that is both original and integrative based on choosing two of the works or projects that they have done and presented throughout the study of the master, analyse them, put them in relation to each other and with the theories that support them, making a critical analysis that reflects the integration of the theoretical and practical knowledge acquired and their time at the school. Likewise they can choose in this modality to do a real and applicable teaching innovation project to the classroom or an extensive analysis of a real intervention. If they decide on these options, they should discuss the possible script with their tutor. In no case will it be admitted to present as MFP work already done or presented in other subjects or in other institutions. In all cases it must be an original academic work and made expressly for the MFP under the supervision of the tutor in all its phases.
5. Assessment system
The student must demonstrate achievement of the intended learning results through the writing of the final document of their MFP. The responsible teacher will open in Moodle the subject with the deadlines for each of the sections. The MFP will be evaluated by a three-person board chosen by the Faculty ( ), which will evaluate the integration of the contents of the master's degree, the formal presentation and academic writing, and the oral presentation
